I wonder what Heda's deal is. She seems to care little about her new husband.
Also her husband is really lame, besides ending sentences with uh? or imagine that!
he should be able to pick up on the fact that Hedda does not love him. I think if he was
a true intellect (as he is said to be) he should know this about his wife.

Thank You!!! I was thinking the same thing. Tesman is a writer and is characterized to be a very smart man, but seems so stupid to me. How is that this extremely smart man, can't see the fact that his new wife barely cares for him at all. Maybe he just doesn't want to see it to save himself the heartache, uh?
