In John Donne's the good Morrow, The author uses grammar to further emphasize his emotions, and ideas for his partner. This is best seen in Question marks, furthers, and shows such emotions and ideas as wonder joy confusion

In the first and second line Donne uses question marks to shows his question regarding his time prior to the time he knew his partner. In the first and second line Donne explains "what thou and I Did, till we loved? Donne shows here his confusion and wonder, as well a sort of happiness. This is shown in how Donne questions his life until he loved.

Another such example of using question marks to show emotion is in paragraph two, which Donne states "Or snorted we in the seven sleepers den? Here he compares his life to a sleepers den, meaning his life was of little action. He uses this to explain that after he was loved he was awaken from his life with little action or meaning and awakened from his sleep.
